Stuffed Fables - the Dollmaker

This one might be easy as I used a zenithal prime and since he has a white coat, I think I can get away with just keeping it mostly as is. I don't think I like the orange and green together but that's what the card appears to have. Go Gators I guess?

Terrain - Shipping Container

I think I'm going to be going the YouTube route!

Here's a shipping container I 3D-Printed from Warlayer.com.

D&D - Goliath Barbarian

In my first ever D&D campaign, our DM threatened that our characters might not survive the campaign and that we should have a re-roll character ready. I was kind of bummed about that, but looked at some models at a games store. I fell in love with a race called goliath and I took a fighter model intending it to become a barbarian.

I found an orc fantasy axe and swapped it out for his knife. I want my guy to be dual-wielding axes. I also put on some Chaos and Space Wolf bits as well.

Tyranids - Part 1

I had a few genestealers and termagaunts in a lot I bought used. I told my 5-year-old that she could have them. Secretly, I wanted them for a basic kill team.

Anyway, I convinced her to help me airbrush. Originally, I wanted to have an orange/blue scheme, but she saw some pics of Hivefleet Kraken and that's the route she wanted to go.

Some in progress pics... I don't expect to finish these for a long time though.

Blitz Bowl - Killanelfia Eagles Part 1

Well, it's time to take care of the other half of the Blitz Bowl set. I have a backlog of these teams, so best get on it.

I have two human teams, so one will be modelled after the Philadephia Eagles (because of the logo) and I think the other one will be the Atlanta Falcons.

I decided to try out the away uniforms for the Eagles since that's what they wore the last time I saw them play on TV last week (I'm a Seahawks fan in reality, but I'm saving that scheme for the elves team).

I started with black primer, than a 45° zenithal spray of grey primer, followed by a top down of white. This will allow me to have some differentiation in the white (while most of it being grey). That's the theory anyway. I'll brush on the forest green on the pants with a brush.

I'm going with the middle scheme

Warpgate Dice Tower

We'll, I've been putting off this one for a while!

This is a dice tower that you can purchase the STL files to 3D print from Dragon's Gate. I love the support they've been doing for Blackstone Fortress.

I surprisingly got way further than I expected, but that goes to show how powerful an airbrush can be!

Airbrushing Blackstone Fortress - the Heroes

I got my new Badger Krome airbrush today, so I was eager to try it out and see how small of a line I could make. I think I definitely like it better than my Sotar so far.

I got my heroes primed into 3 groups: white, grey, and black. I also tried the Krome a little bit on Rein and Raus with some skin tone to see how much overspray there'd be. I think I'll leave them to a brush for the rest due to how small they are and I'll see if I can airbrush more on the other models later.

Airbrushing Blackstone Fortress - Traitor Guardsmen

The units I've been dreading! I've really enjoyed painting these small 2-4 man squads and now, I have 14 to do!

I grey primered these guys and then only had time to get the blacks and browns done. My wife wanted to binge watch a show with me tonight so not as much done as I had hoped.

Airbrushing Blackstone Fortress Terrain Part 1

Step 1: Priming

I decided to first do up some terrain from Blackstone Fortress. I 3D printed the parts over a month during this past Spring. I got the files from Dragon's Rest.

I had to start priming black. It took a long time and I'm second-guessing whether I want to commit to this given the amount of terrain I printed! It is late, so maybe it's just that.

I noticed that I'm spraying some water out of the brush, so I may have some condensation built up in the hose. I also decided that I'm going to use up my Vallejo primer before the Stynylrez. I want to save that primer for my models over terrain.

I also have no paper towels in the house! How annoying! I also need to buy a bent tip water bottle and some proper isopropanol.

 My big bucket of terrain

What I managed to prime in an hour or so

As an update the next day, there is no bloody way I'll be priming these with an airbrush as it will take me all year! I'll be using a rattle can and I already got a bunch done in 2 minutes!
